Sharing the Gospel
“I recently caught up with a friend at uni. We sat down at a table and waited for our order to arrive. Conversation had started: the recap of our weeks were exchanged, followed by a string of tangents. Whilst immersed in the conversation, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned, thinking it would be the lady bringing my chai latte over. It wasn’t the waitress, but rather a curious stranger. She introduced herself and said she saw the back of my shirt (which had said “Jesus is Lord”) and wanted to talk to us. I love talking to people, so I was really excited at this opportunity. But this excitement was also accompanied with an undercurrent of fear. Many Christians, myself included, are excited at the thought of evangelism, but are often held back by fear.”
